Checkering on Palm Swells are not a problem. There is really no difference in checkering a stock that has a palm swell from one that does not.

If the palm swell is a substantial one, the diamonds may appear a bit more elongated in the swell area.

THUMBHOLE STOCKS

Yes, stocks with thumbholes (and finger grooves) an be checkered!

Usually I will have you pick out a pattern for the forend, then I will design a matching grip pattern that flows with the contour of the thumbhole grip area.

The pattern may NOT be exactly the same on both sides of the grips, but will compliment each other.

Most thumbhole stocks I have checkered have been laminates.

Please add an additional fee of $30 for any laminated stock.

I am always up for a challange! This customer loved flames, so I created a pattern just for him, here's just one example of what can be done to personalize a pattern!
